Yes. Ingredients are listed in US cups, spoons, pounds and ounces. Oven temperatures are given in °F with °C in brackets, so cooks outside the US can follow along.
Use the + and − buttons next to the ingredient list. Every amount updates instantly. Cooking times usually stay the same, but a bigger batch may need a larger pan or a few extra minutes.
These take 40 minutes or less from start to finish: Buttermilk Pancakes (35 min), Classic Cheeseburger (20 min), Skillet Cornbread (35 min), Cobb Salad (40 min), Chocolate Chip Cookies (27 min).
Use an instant-read thermometer. The USDA recommends 165°F (74°C) for chicken and turkey, 160°F (71°C) for ground beef and pork, and 145°F (63°C) for whole cuts of beef, pork and fish, followed by a 3-minute rest. Each recipe lists the target temperature where it matters.
Most savory recipes are forgiving. Swap herbs, cheeses or vegetables freely. Baking is more precise, so keep flour, sugar, fat and leavening as written the first time you make a recipe. Each recipe’s kitchen note explains the step that matters most.
